POLICIES

Our top priority is ensuring that our guests have the best experience possible.  Please note our policies regarding your upcoming stay:

  • NO SMOKING and NO PETS are allowed anywhere on Hartland Ranch property.  This is for the health, safety, and enjoyment of all of our guests.  Should any evidence of smoking or pets be found, you will be assessed a fee of up to $500 for cleaning, repair or replacement of our property.  Please ask us if you need help locating a local boarding facility for your pet.

  • We have 3 night minimum for booking one of our cabins.  During peak season dates, the minimum is 5 days. 

  • A 50% deposit of total booking charges, including taxes and fees is due at the time of booking. The balance is due at check-in, unless reservations are for holidays, peak seasons, or specially contracted events, then the balance is then due 30 days before check-in.

  • We cannot offer deposit refunds when your stay falls during the peak seasons, holidays, or during a specially contracted event.  During the "off season," cancellations made 30 days in advance of your stay will be refunded.  Cancellations made within 30 days of your stay will result in a forfeit of your entire deposit, or this credit can be applied toward a stay within the next 365 days (if availability allows rescheduling). 

  • Our 3 bedroom cabins sleep up to 8 guests and our 2 bedroom cabins sleep up to 6 guests.  This includes all adults and children in the cabin.  We do not allow additional guests beyond these maximums under any circumstances.  If your party requires more space, please book an additional cabin (if available) or find off-site accommodations for your extra guests. 

  • A valid drivers license and credit card is required upon check in. 

  • CHECK IN is at 4 pm.  Please communicate with us regarding your estimated time of arrival so our manager Jennifer can meet you, provide you with keys, and make sure you have everything you need upon check in.  In certain cases, we can accommodate an earlier check in.  Just ask!

  • CHECK OUT is at 11 am. 

  • DURING THE WINTER MONTHS:  It is highly recommended that guests drive an AWD or four wheel drive vehicle to access the property and the Wolf Creek Ski Area.  Otherwise, we suggest bringing chains for your front or rear-wheel drive vehicle. During periods of heavy snow, travel may be difficult in the San Juan Mountain Region even when roads have been plowed.

  • When using the community fire pit, please make sure all fires and coals are completely extinguished upon completion of use.  During certain periods of extreme drought or high winds, we may be forced to disallow the use of all open fires on the property.

  • Please keep all screen doors closed to prevent small animals from entering your cabin. 

  • When leaving your cabin, please close all windows and doors.  Rain storms can come up quickly in the mountains. 

  • Please do not remove towels from the cabins.  The Hot Springs provides towels for the use of its guests. 

  • Never leave food or garbage outside your cabin, as this can attract animals.  A secure outdoor closet containing a trash can is available for disposing of any trash.  If you dispose of any trash in the bear-proof dumpster, please make sure it is relocked.

  • You may notice the narrow waterways that cross the cabin property.  These are irrigation ditches used by the valley's ranchers to water their fields and livestock.  Please refrain from disturbing these ditches or allowing children to play in the water, as the water is not drinkable and may not be clean as it flows through nearby cow and horse fields. 

  • The parking areas in front of each cabin are designed to accommodate the one vehicle per bedroom (2 vehicles for a 2 bedroom cabin, 3 vehicles for a 3 bedroom cabin).  If your party requires addition parking, please make prior arrangements with our property management.  We want our guests to have a convenient stay, but we must also balance this with the needs of our other guests to enjoy the quiet and solitude that our unique property provides.
